After last year’s emotional climax marked by Filip Polášek’s farewell to professional tennis, the tennis atmosphere is returning to Bratislava in full force once again. The next edition of the Bratislava Open is about to begin, bringing another exciting mix of world-class tennis and a unique atmosphere.
Over the past few years, the Bratislava Open has built a strong reputation among clay-court tournaments, and this year will be no exception. The prize money prepared by the organizers ranks the tournament among the two best financially endowed clay tournaments in the world during that particular week. Thanks to this, Bratislava will once again welcome players with renowned names and exceptional quality.
Slovak fans will certainly be pleased by the participation of Slovakia’s number one player, Alex Molčan, who will be one of the main faces of the tournament. Alexander Shevchenko, former tournament champion and a current Top 100 player, will also return to the Bratislava clay courts after previously showcasing his talent in front of the local crowd. Another exciting name is Sebastian Ofner, Austria’s Davis Cup representative and a player well known for his aggressive clay-court style.
The tournament schedule will run daily from 11:00 AM across three courts, while admission for the public remains free of charge. Fans can therefore look forward to an all-day tennis experience in a pleasant summer atmosphere directly within the tournament grounds.
