Bratislava Open has revealed the doubles quarterfinalists
The doubles event at the clay-court challenger Bratislava Open 2026 (ATP Challenger Tour, clay, 160, €680 + H) brought interesting moments in the Round of 16 and great news for Slovak fans.
The biggest surprise of the day on the main court at the very start of the schedule was achieved by Slovak player Miloš Karol, teaming up with Croatia’s Nino Serdarušić. In a match that lasted just under an hour, they upset the top seeds Matej Vocel (CZE) and Theodor Winegar (USA), defeating them convincingly 6–3, 6–2.
In an all-Slovak clash between wildcard entries, more experience prevailed as Jozef Kovalík and Andrej Martin proved too strong. The young pair Michal Krajčí and Tomáš Lánik managed to win the first set, but Kovalík and Martin turned the match around to win 4–6, 6–1, 10–4 in the match tiebreak.
The fourth seeds Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow (USA) advanced from the seeded pairs, defeating the Belgian–Portuguese duo Buvaysar Gadamauri and Tiago Pereira 6–3, 7–6(5).
On the other hand, the second seeds Ivan Liutarevich and Filip Pieczonka (Poland) were eliminated by Czech players Hynek Bartoň and Filip Duda, who won 6–3, 6–4.
In two other Round of 16 matches, Brazilians Pedro Boscardin Dias and João Lucas Reis da Silva dominated, crushing the Asian pair Jason Jung and Kaito Uesugi 6–0, 6–2.
The Polish duo Karol Drzewiecki and Piotr Matuszewski advanced after a three-set battle against alternates Viktor Durasovic (Norway) and Vadym Ursu (Ukraine), winning 6–2, 3–6, 10–7.
In the final Round of 16 match, Slovakian player Lukáš Pokorný and Ukrainian player Vitaliy Sachko secured their place in the quarterfinals after a dramatic encounter against Bulgarian Alexander Donski and Czech player Andrew Paulson. The match lasted over an hour and was decided by a tight match tiebreak. Pokorný and Sachko came back after losing the first set to win 6–7(4), 6–3, 10–8, handling the crucial moments better to book their spot in the quarterfinals.
