Shevchenko reaches the semifinals after a dramatic first set

The top seed Aleksandr Shevchenko (Kazakhstan) advanced to the semifinals of the Bratislava Open 2026 (ATP Challenger Tour, clay, €160,680 + H) after defeating Maxim Mrva (Czech Republic) 7–6(9), 6–0.

The outcome of the first set was decided in a dramatic tiebreak, which Shevchenko won 11–9. After taking the opening set, the Kazakh dominated on court.
